The 2013 Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement

Last Sunday the Basketball Hall of Fame inducted its latest class, which consisted of:

Guy V Lewis
Richie Guerin
Oscar Schmidt
Dawn Staley
Gary Payton
Dr. E. B. Henderson
Jerry Tarkanian
Rick Pitino
Bernard King

As always, the Robison Service crew was there organizing the Rolls Royce parade. Thanks to our friends and supporters John Rando, Paul Picknelly, the Oliver Ward estate, and Gene Cassidy for donating the cars for this event. The players love seeing the cars there, and we're proud to keep Rolls Royce part of our city's heritage, alongside the Hall of Fame and our city's other attractions.

Most people assume Rolls Royce cars all came from England, but in the 1920s Rolls Royce actually built cars here in America, at a state of the art plant between Page Boulevard and what's now I-291. Rolls Royce has actually been a part of our city longer than the Hall of Fame.

In a surprising twist of fate, our company actually ended up being on a corner of the old Rolls Royce grounds, which (over the years) has also been home to American Wire Wheel, Duryea, Indian Motocycle, and the Tite Flex Corporation. I wish I could say I planned it that way, but the fact is, it's just a lucky coincidence that a modern day Rolls facility would outgrow its original space when this land was open, twenty years ago.

Either way, we're proud to be here and happy it all worked out.
